![]() When I finish this study, I’m starting Kim Dolan Leto’s Strong. But you can absolutely still do the study and get so much out of it without the videos. I find them extra helpful in going deeper into the material, and I always love the nuggets Priscilla shares. For an extra $10 I could access the videos that accompany the study. If you’re interested in the Elijah study, I did it online through Lifeway Women, however, you can get the study in various places ( Amazon | Going Beyond Ministries). I speak loudly that I want God to use my life to do amazing things….but, as Priscilla asked throughout the study, am I willing to do what it takes to have that type of God experience in my life? This study has really made me look with more introspection on my walk with Christ. Fun fact: he is one of two people in the Bible who we learn never actually died physically. God will and can do immeasurably more than we can even think (like consuming the water and the water-soaked wood from the altar)!Įlijah was a pretty cool guy.If I bring the faith, God will bring the fire.God must be God alone or He is not our God at all.We know what we want, but God knows what we actually need. It’s God’s way of preparing our lives for maximum usefulness, for shaping our priorities and passions, and allowing us to get to know Him in new ways. Isolation or separation isn’t punishment.Elijah’s commitment to God was so strong he was willing to go wherever and do whatever, praying God’s will above his own, even if it made him uncomfortable. Those did not disqualify him from serving God. God was fully aware of all of Elijah’s shortcomings, fears, limitations, and weaknesses. Finally, he got to prepare the altar for God’s fire to fall and consume everything, proving God alone is the one true God and shattering the belief of so many Baal worshippers.Įven with a few days remaining in my study, I already have huge takeaways about who God is and how my life can better reflect my worship of him:.Carmel and set up for God’s miracle, Elijah learned about choosing God and God alone instead of wavering he came to understand the difference between what he thought he wanted and what God knew he actually needed and, he got a firsthand experience in standing boldly for God when surrounded by unbelievers. As the time approached for Elijah to go to Mt.After his separation time in Cherith, God sent him to Zarephath where God allowed Elijah to be unsettled, be refined, and grow in prayer.Crazy, huh? But it was in this separation that God showed Elijah he was faithful to provide and trustworthy, and also prepared him for what was coming next. He was separated from his community for a long period of time where God provided for him by having ravens bring him food.Specifically, she asks, “Are we willing to do what Elijah did to get what Elijah got?”. Priscilla’s study on Elijah focuses on how we all want to see God move mightily in our lives and to use us in his plan, but questions whether we are actually willing to do the necessary hard work to reach that magnificent outcome. Carmel that proves he is the one true God. This study in particular is about the message of drought Elijah brought to King Ahab, followed by his time of preparation, and ending with the amazing miracle God does on Mt. Elijah was an Old Testament prophet who, like many prophets, brought a warning to the Israelites after they wandered away from God to worship false gods. I am currently in the last week of her new six-week study, Elijah: Faith & Fire. Her love and knowledge of Scripture are contagious. ![]() She comes from a family of Jesus-followers that I am envious of. ![]() One of my favorite Bible study leaders is Priscilla Shirer. I use actual Bible studies, written by women and men with a way better understanding than me, to guide me in learning more about Jesus and Scripture. As much as I would love to do that, I haven’t mastered that skill yet. You’d think after all of these years in church I would be able to crack open the Bible and pull together my own introspective study of a verse or a book. Part of my daily quiet time is Bible study. Whether it’s 5 minutes or 50, it goes a long way in helping to start the day off well. No matter what you call it, your time with God is precious. It goes by many names: quiet time, Bible study, or devotional time. Fostering and growing your relationship with Jesus requires daily time together, just like any other relationship. Sundays are a huge part of the Christian walk, but I didn’t learn until much later how important having daily time with God is. Today I want to share about a specific part of my morning routine – Bible study. A big part of that is in my morning routine, but I’ll save that for another post. ![]() ![]() If you know me, then you know I’m all about making every day a good day. ![]()

However, this is where the difference between the two operating systems becomes significant: users running Windows are unable to get the same battery longevity that they would get from the same Mac running macOS. Intel's HD graphics software will also help optimize both the operating system and battery life. What you'll notice immediately after installing Windows are the benefits of the Retina display: icons look much sharper and text looks much clearer when compared to the equivalent running in virtualization software. ![]() Snapshots older than 24 hours are automatically deleted, but the downside of local snapshots is that Finder and Get Info windows don't include these in their calculations of the storage space available on a disk. This was due to the Time Machine function on the Mac, and how local snapshots work. However, we ran into an error message on our MacBook Pro (late 2016) that stated it could not partition the startup disk because it didn't have enough space, despite the system telling us exactly the opposite. The good part of the installation process is that Boot Camp downloads all the necessary components (drivers) to make Windows work, except for the operating system itself. Time Machine Snapshots With Boot Camp Installation When you install Windows on a Mac that includes a Fusion Drive, the Windows partition is created on the mechanical hard drive part of the Fusion Drive, and not the SSD. Boot Camp will take your startup disk and create a partition that's compatible with Windows. The software itself is part of macOS, so installing Windows on Macs using the legacy HFS+ file system is smoother than those using the Apple File System and Time Machine or FileVault. In other words, Boot Camp allows you to run Windows without the compromise of using just one processor or only a limited amount of RAM, the sorts of restrictions that would be imposed by virtual machines as they balance the various resources to optimize the running of two operating systems side by side. What sets the Windows experience apart from any virtualization software is that users can take full advantage of their hardware in every possible way, the Retina display included, so long as you agree to allocate at least 40GB of space on the startup disk for this operating system. Apple's multi-boot utility – which has been included with the Mac operating system since OS X 10.5 Leopard – guides users through installing Windows on Intel-based Macs, and it's actually pretty easy to get started if all the necessary components are in place. There's something called LifeQI which is good but a bit spendy and it covers a lot more detail than just driver diagrams.Manually make a swimlane diagram in Visio You want something that allows horizontal stripes. The other problem is that most software will apply colour vertically to a column, but you probably don't want that. (For example, "we tried change idea 1, and we didn't see any improvement, here's the data"). And you might want to allow it to link to other documents. You want something that allows actions to be attached and completed. The problem is that you want something that a small team can collaborate on that allows them to control where it's stored and viewable that works with baffling NHS bureaucracy and is very easy to use. So, if anyone wants to make diagramming software and is looking for a niche, there's something used in quality improvement called a "driver diagram". If not, how many people would be interested in such a thing? I may start it as an open source project myself. highly customizable visual style (PlantUML, the most flexible I've found in this regard, is notoriously bad at styling, mostly due to a lack of a coherent styling paradigm) no custom language/pseudocode as input, but builder-style approach (I use Java to generate a text description of the diagram and then pass it to the library for parsing - I could just call the methods the parser calls and remove the unneccesary middle man) sending a message does not imply immediate reception on the other side) supports delayed messages (message trasmission and message reception can occur at different times, i.e. supports multiple threads and thread referencing in messages (multiple activations per lifeline) Is there a (Java based) sequence diagram generating tool/library that has the following functionalities: I've recently tried to find a suitable solution for this on StackOverflow, but I've been rejected under the "Opinionated question" remark (::sigh::), so I could just as well do it here. Numbering messages may help, but I find it easier to grasp what is going on visually with multiple activations per lifeline (the best implementation of this I've found to date is the Quick Sequence Diagram Editor, but that project doesn't seem to be active or maintained). Some solutions do provide the "par" fragment, but this is inadequate when message ordering corresponds to cronological ordering. Sequence diagrams seem like the go-to format for displaying data flow in a microservice-type environment, but even though there is a plethora of implementations in various languages and technologies that generate diagrams of this kind, they all lack certain functionalities, number one being the support for threads. ![]() Daily task tracking excel template3/1/2024 ![]() What does your task refer to? If your go-to style, like mine, is texting individual thoughts, I suggest you save the somewhat chaotic tactic for close friends or anyone whose home screen you feel comfortable flooding with notifications. ![]() Haters can hate, but there are a few exceptions to keep in mind. Your default text style should be whichever method you're most comfortable using. There's a time and a place for each method That's why it's important to consider which style is best for each specific situation you encounter. Multiple message sending admittedly isn't appropriate for every situation, but neither is drafting lengthy paragraphs. Once he clocks that I'm winding up to slowly divulge an interesting bit of information he sometimes even interjects with a "Say what it is," a "Don't tease it along," or a "Spit it out!" One of my dear friends, a proud paragraph sender, has calls me out on my texting style whenever the opportunity arises. Most times a spaced out sequence of multiple texts is harmless, but I definitely see how being on the receiving end of a suspenseful conversation where tiny tidbits of information are trickling in at a snail's pace could be infuriating. Multiple messages, on the other hand, come across as more spontaneous and bring an extra level of emotion and excitement to the chat. But large paragraphs have a tendency to feel too serious, pre-meditated, and workshopped. You can always count on paragraph texters to deliver the goods in a time-efficient manner. Multiple message senders may dish out a bit more drama and give you six annoying notifications instead of one, but they also deliver some quality entertainment in the form of suspenseful, intriguing buildups. ![]() If a friend who favors paragraphs were to run into a mutual pal at a coffee shop, I imagine I'd receive a text that looked something like this: When there's a lot to say, their text boxes may be giant, but if there's not much to share paragraph senders may settle for a single sentence or two. Paragraph senders often try to tell the whole story as quickly as possible, and they thrive on packing substantial amounts of information into as few messages as possible, leaving little room for questions or speculation. Whether they admire inverted pyramid story structuring - which prioritizes essential information - or they greatly dislike texting and try to limit their digital interactions as much as possible, paragraph senders are more succinct and calculating when they craft their messages. Unlike multiple message fans, paragraph senders have no time for drawn out nonsense. And watching a shower of off-the-cuff grey iMessage bubbles rain down on the chat makes me feel like the sender is more present than if they were to plop a fully fleshed out, pre-planned paragraph. Unlike one intimidatingly long paragraph, standalone texts give me the option to leave dramatic pauses or emphasize certain points before proceeding. In my mind, stories told through messages are best delivered gradually, in a more conversational manner. But I like to take people through situations step-by-step in hopes that they'll experience the same emotional journey that I did in real-time. Does that mean I bury the lede at times? Sure. I'll send as many consecutive messages as I need to weave the recipient a thrilling, suspenseful, chronological tale. To the dismay of several friends of mine, I'm the type of person who shamelessly tells a story in pieces. ![]() Without giving it a second thought, I can confidently say I'm a multiple message sender. ![]() Camtasia studio 9 free software key2/29/2024 ![]() YouTube Marketing Consultant Owen Video says, “The very first thing we do is run our clients through a questionnaire that helps them to get the biggest topics that the audience would be interested in.” Here’s advice from YouTube experts who have learned (from a lot of practice and work) what you need to define your audience.
